Collaborating with Children

Original line art and finished collaboration featured in rollover images, use the thumbnails to view larger images. I love children. I love the way they perceive the world before we teach them how they should perceive it. What I’m doing here, is taking original line art, putting it in a large line art projector and carefully tracing the drawing onto canvas. I then use my oil paints to “color it in” just as I would my own art. I try to remain as true to the original drawing and the sensibility of the child as I possibly can. The result is an incredible oil painting which defies any category.
